Gwinnett Homeowners Trust Us With Their Exteriors
An exterior paint job is the first thing people see when they pull up to your home. It's also the paint that takes the worst beating — full sun, summer humidity, sudden storms, and pollen everywhere.
What's Included in Our Exterior Painting Service
Exterior painting is part restoration and part protection. Done right, a new exterior paint job doesn't just look good on day one — it seals your home against moisture, sun, and wear for years to come.

Exterior Painting — What Sets Good Work Apart
Exterior Painting Problems We Fix Every Day
-
"My paint is peeling and flaking after only a couple years."
This almost always traces back to poor prep on the previous job — usually no primer, insufficient cleaning, or the wrong product for the surface. Our scraping, sanding, and priming steps are specifically designed to prevent this.
-
"My trim has wood rot I've been ignoring."
Soft, rotten trim can't be painted over — it needs to come off and be replaced first. We handle minor wood rot repair as part of most exterior projects. Severe rot gets scoped and quoted separately.
-
"The sun has faded everything."
Georgia sun is brutal on exterior paint. We use UV-resistant exterior coatings (Sherwin-Williams Duration, Emerald, and similar) that hold color longer than standard paint.
-
"The color I picked looked different in the store than on my house."
Exterior color choice is harder than interior because of sun angles and how paint reflects differently at scale. We'll bring samples, paint test swatches directly on your home, and let you see the real color in real daylight before committing.
-
"My stucco has hairline cracks."
Hairline cracks in stucco can be filled with elastomeric caulk or crack-bridging masonry primers before painting. For structural cracks, we'll flag them and recommend a masonry repair first.
-
"My brick has never been painted — can you paint it?"
Yes, but with caveats. Brick painting is typically a permanent decision (very hard to reverse) and requires specific masonry-grade primer and paint. We'll talk through the pros and cons before you commit.
-
"I want my gutters painted to match."
Most gutters can be painted with the right prep and product. We handle gutters and downspouts as part of most exterior projects.
-
"What about my metal roof?"
Metal roofs can be painted — they need thorough cleaning, rust treatment where needed, a specialized metal primer, and a coating designed for metal. We handle these.
Exterior Painting in Gwinnett County That Holds Up
Your home's exterior takes the brunt of Georgia's weather — scorching summers, humid stretches that never seem to end, and occasional winters that do more damage than people expect. When the paint starts to fade, crack, or peel, it's not just an eyesore. It's a sign your home's first line of protection needs attention.
Mena's Quality Painting handles exterior projects across Gwinnett County with our own crew, careful prep work, and a 3-year labor warranty on every job. No subcontractors. No surprises.
No Subcontractors — Ever
The crew painting your home is our crew. Not a third-party contractor. Not a day-labor fill-in. Our team, on every job, every time. That's how we guarantee quality.
Communication That Doesn't DIssapear
You'll know what's happening and when. From your first quote to the final walkthrough, you'll have a direct line to us — not a call center.
A 3-Year Labor Warranty
We take great pride in our workmanship, and it's backed in writing. If something's off within three years, we come back and make it right.
Quality Materials — Inside & Out
Trusted products like Sherwin-Williams mean the finish holds up to real daily life — kids, dogs, weather, and everything in between.

The Exterior Paint Products We Rely On
Sherwin-Williams Emerald Exterior
Premium exterior line with excellent UV resistance, color retention, and mildew resistance. Our first pick for most siding.
Sherwin-Williams Duration
Durable, thick-bodied exterior paint built for Georgia conditions.
Stain product
If your project includes staining rather than painting (common on cedar siding or wood details), we use quality exterior stain products matched to the wood type.

OUR PROCESS: How We Run an Exterior Painting Project
-
Free estimate visit
We come to your home, walk the full exterior, check conditions on all sides (sun exposure changes paint wear), note any repair needs, and take measurements.
-
Written estimate
Line-itemed quote sent to you within a few days. Includes pressure washing, prep, any repairs, primer, paint products, number of coats, and timeline.
-
Weather-based scheduling
Once approved, we schedule around the forecast. Exterior projects need a clear stretch of dry weather, so we plan conservatively.
-
Site protection
Before pressure washing, we protect or move plants, furniture, grills, AC units, and anything else around the perimeter.
-
Pressure wash
Full exterior wash to remove dirt, mildew, pollen, and loose paint.
-
Surface drying
We let the house dry fully — usually 24–48 hours — before any paint goes on.
-
Scraping, sanding, and repairs
Loose paint scraped, rough areas sanded, wood rot addressed, seams caulked.
-
Priming
Bare wood, repairs, stain-blocked areas, and color-change surfaces get primer.
-
First coat
Full coverage coat applied with brushes, rollers, and sprayers as each surface requires.
-
Second coat
After proper dry time, a second full coat goes on.
-
Trim and detail work
Fascia, soffits, shutters, railings, and doors finished by hand.
-
Walkthrough
Full walkaround with you. Touch-ups done on the spot.
-
Cleanup and warranty
Site left clean. Warranty paperwork delivered.
Protecting Your Investment — Our 3-Year Labor Warranty
Exterior paint is an investment — typically the biggest paint purchase most homeowners make. We back it with a 3-year written workmanship warranty.
If our exterior work fails due to our prep, application, or technique within three years — peeling that shouldn't be there, caulk pulling away from seams we handled, or coating failure from a coat we applied — we come back and make it right at no charge.
Paint manufacturers typically offer separate product warranties on exterior lines (often 5–25 years depending on product and surface). Between the manufacturer's product warranty and our labor warranty, the major failure points are covered.
Services That Often Pair With Exterior Painting
Deck & Fence Staining
Often done at the same time as an exterior paint refresh. Same crew, same visit.
Interior Painting
Whole-home refreshes often hit both sides of the walls at once.
Cabinet Painting & Refinishing
If a full exterior update is in your plans, a kitchen refresh might be worth bundling.
